Château Fargueirol belongs to the Révoltier family, owner-growers from father to son since 1340. It is located in the heart of the Châteauneuf du Pape appellation. The vineyard is made up of 27 hectares, including 13 hectares on one of the best soils of the appellation, the alluvial terraces dating from the Quaternary era, also called “rolled pebbles”, located around the chateau, 10 hectares in clay-limestone soils of old scrubland replanted during the 1980s/1990s, 6 hectares in Côtes du Rhône and 2 hectares in vin de pays currently at rest. Their ideal location benefits from an exceptional terroir and our vines are in full force of age, giving our wines tradition and character. The work in the vineyard, in the cellar or even commercial work is in no way delegated, only seasonal workers complete during the peaks of activity (harvesting and pruning). A family property rooted in the “country”, in the love of craftsmanship and tradition, that perpetuates ancestral methods: manual and meticulously sorted harvests, vinification respectful of tradition and their family know-how while using modern techniques because they have always appreciated “efficient” innovation.
