The elegant The Pepper Tree Shiraz from Bon Courage shimmers into the glass with bright crimson. The first nose of The Pepper Tree Shiraz presents notes of plums, plums and black cherries. The fruity parts of the bouquet are accompanied by notes of cask ageing such as gingerbread spice, cinnamon and vanilla.

The Bon Courage The Pepper Tree Shiraz impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was put on the bottle with only 4.2 grams of residual sugar. As you can of course expect with a wine in the upscale price entry, this South African naturally delights in all dryness with the finest balance. Aroma does not necessarily need sugar. On the palate, the texture of this balanced red wine is wonderfully velvety and dense. The Pepper Tree Shiraz is exceptionally fresh and vibrant on the palate thanks to its fruity acidity. The finale of this red wine from the Breede River Valley wine-growing region, more precisely from Robertson, finally captivates with remarkable reverberation.

Vinification of the Bon Courage The Pepper Tree Shiraz
This red wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Syrah. Only first-class harvests were harvested for this wonderfully balanced varietal wine from Bon Courage. The grapes for this red wine from South Africa are made exclusively by hand at the time of optimum ripeness. After the harvest, the grapes immediately reach the press house. Here you are selected and gently ground. Fermentation is then carried out in small wood at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by ageing for 12 months in French oak barrique.

Food recommendation for The Pepper Tree Shiraz by Bon Courage
This South African should best be enjoyed at a temperature of 15 – 18°C. It goes perfectly with roasted veal liver with apples, onions and balsamic vinegar sauce, goose breast with ginger red cabbage and marjoram or Boeuf Bourguignon
