In the glass, the 2020 from our Pinot Noir shows its wonderful cherry-red color with a slight haze because it is unfiltered. Red fruits like morello cherries present themselves on the nose. On the palate then a lot of spice and a fine fruitiness are complemented with tart nuances.

For us, Pinot Noir is something special! Almost the secret passion of our cellar master Stephan Sänger. Our Pinots from the Rheingau are characterized by lots of fruit, light wood nuances and a fine acidity.

Behind the name “von Unserm” stands a 140-year-old story, which is based on the beginnings of the winery. The founder of the winery, Balthasar Ress, owned a restaurant and grew his own grapevines as a part-time job. He wanted to differentiate his wines, which he made himself, from the other wines on his menu and gave them the name »von meines«. Since then, every year a wine has been produced that bears this name and today represents the liquid business card of our winery.
